Two of my favorite activities to relax, to take my mind off my game and to release the intensity of competition are cooking and botany.

Chef's Catalog Since I am traveling fairly intensively throughout the U.S. and Europe, I pick up national, regional and ethnic recipes from local restaurants and hangouts. Then when I am home on a week off, I pull out all my precious cookware from Chef’s Catalog and
put them to the task.

No sure 2-footer recipes, but from time to time I pull out an eagle in my kitchen.

BrecksMy love for botany, I inherited from my Dad. He is the one who taught me everything about caring for nature, nurturing a plant and
admiring the beauty of a beautiful flower. I have a small bed of flowers, lilies are my favorites, that I care for and make it my own little Oregon down here in L.A. But I do cheat a bit when I email pics to my dad, I kinda overuse Brecks magical stuff.
